Candice Michelle is officially back inside the wrestling business — but this time, she’s working behind the scenes instead of stepping into the ring. The former WWE Women’s Champion revealed that her return started with an unexpected phone call that quickly changed her trajectory.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet about how her comeback to wrestling began, Candice explained that it was longtime wrestling veteran Tommy Dreamer who reached out and offered her a new opportunity with TNA Wrestling. That conversation ultimately led to her stepping into a backstage role as an agent — something she didn’t necessarily expect to happen so quickly. She described the moment clearly, recalling how direct the offer was and how it immediately pulled her back into the industry.

“Tommy Dreamer called me and he offered me a spot as an agent.”

Candice went on to explain that the transition into the role happened much faster than she expected. Rather than easing into the job over time, she was thrown right into the environment almost immediately after arriving.

She recalled how Dreamer laid out the plan in a way that left little room for hesitation, forcing her to adapt quickly to the pace of the wrestling business.

“January was my first shows… he was like, ‘Come and shadow me the first weekend, and the next weekend you’ll be an agent.’ I was like, ‘Huh what?’ But that is wrestling… throw them to the wolves and see if you survive.”

That experience marked her official return to the professional wrestling world after years away from full-time involvement. Although she spent years attending conventions and staying connected to the industry, this role marked her first consistent backstage position in years.

Candice described the opportunity as both sudden and exciting, noting that returning in this capacity allowed her to see the business from an entirely new perspective. It also gave her a fresh way to stay connected to the industry that defined much of her career.

Now that she’s back inside the business, the move could also open doors to additional opportunities — including the possibility of stepping back into the ring someday. Her return as a TNA agent signals a new chapter in her career, but it may not be the final stop on her wrestling journey.
