Candice LeRae may not be on television much these days, but she’s still making moves within WWE—just from behind the curtain. The longtime in-ring veteran is reportedly shifting her focus backstage, now taking on responsibilities as a match producer.

According to TC WrestleVotes, LeRae has recently started learning the ropes of producing matches for WWE, and she’s already been put to work on WWE Main Event. One of her early assignments included producing the match taped before SmackDown in Tempe, which featured The Street Profits going up against Los Garza.

“I spoke with a source who tells me Candice LeRae has been learning how to produce matches behind the scenes. She has been a producer for matches for WWE Main Event, including the one being filmed before #SmackDown  in Tempe tonight between The Street Profits & Los Garza.”

LeRae’s in-ring activity has slowed down significantly in recent months. Her last televised match came during the September 23rd episode of NXT, where she was defeated by Lainey Reid. Since then, she’s remained active through NXT live events but hasn’t been involved in major televised storylines.

This new behind-the-scenes role could be the beginning of a longer-term transition for LeRae, whose in-ring career has earned her the respect of peers and fans alike. With her knowledge, experience, and ability to connect with talent, she’s well-positioned to become a valuable part of WWE’s creative and developmental process.

Should WWE focus more on transitioning in-ring talent like Candice LeRae into backstage roles? Or is there still more left in the tank for her on-screen career? Sound off in the comments.
