Butterbean wants all the smoke—and he’s aiming it directly at Brock Lesnar.
The 58-year-old boxing icon, who once knocked out Bart Gunn in WWE’s infamous Brawl for All finale, is mounting a shocking comeback and has now set his sights on The Beast Incarnate. Speaking to Undisputed’s Justin Barrasso, Butterbean didn’t pull any punches.
“I really want to fight Brock Lesnar—I would knock him out,” Butterbean declared.
That’s a bold callout, especially from someone who was in a wheelchair just a few years ago. But the heavyweight slugger says he’s transformed his life. With help from former WCW legend Diamond Dallas Page, Butterbean is back on his feet and training hard.
“I wasn’t even walking before, and now I’m doing what I enjoy,” he said. “If you believe in yourself, you can do anything. Just wait and see what I do next.”
He’s lost weight, returned to a regular training schedule, and seems more motivated than ever to prove he’s still got the knockout power that once made him a household name.
Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar has remained completely silent on the challenge. The former WWE and UFC champion has kept a low profile since being named in Janel Grant’s lawsuit involving Vince McMahon and others. Lesnar was last spotted at a steakhouse in Austin, Texas, where he gave a cryptic answer when asked about a potential return: “We’ll see.”
Whether or not this unlikely fight ever happens, Butterbean is already making headlines—and showing fans it’s never too late for a comeback.
