Bully Ray had plenty to say after AEW Dynamite wrapped, and not all of it was flattering. On the latest Busted Open After Dark, the WWE Hall of Famer dished out both praise and brutal critiques—firing shots at AEW’s pacing, booking, and especially how they’re handling breakout star Megan Bayne.

“I liked Dynamite tonight, and I liked it because I saw more of an attempt to tell stories,” Bully began, trying to lead with a little love. “I was a little confused at times, but that doesn’t matter, because I saw an attempt to string stuff together, and that’s what I liked.”

But it didn’t take long for him to flip the switch and unload on AEW’s world title picture. After Jon Moxley’s opening promo and match, Bully went off. “I like what Moxley had to say. I like how he put over AEW,” he admitted—but then he called out a glaring issue: “I don’t like the fact that the rest of the Death Riders stand in the background like backup singers… If you’re the Death Riders, you’re a unit.”

Then came the real heat. “How do I know he’s the AEW World Heavyweight Champion? The announcers told me, because I haven’t seen that championship belt in forever,” he ranted. “I can’t be the only one out there that despises the fact that we don’t see the AEW World Heavyweight Championship… I hate it.”

After dragging the company for how they presented Moxley’s match against Katsuyori Shibata—calling the finish unbelievable and Shibata’s no-sell of a piledriver “par for the course in AEW”—Bully turned his sights on the night’s eight-man tag.

While he called the match “a crazy car crash” in a good way, he nearly lost it when Will Ospreay scored the pinfall. “This is where I wanted to take a baseball bat and smash it into my television,” Bully raged. “Will doesn’t need the 1-2-3. Give it to Kevin. Give it to Mike. Or screw it, give it to Mark Briscoe… That’s the way it should be done.” He didn’t hold back, calling the decision “ignorant” and “uneducated.”

Still, he had time to spotlight a moment of solid storytelling—crediting Tony Schiavone for selling the seriousness of FTR’s attack on Adam Copeland. “That’s good sh*t right there,” Bully said. “He made me feel bad for Cope, and he made me dislike FTR more.”

But the moment that had Bully truly furious? The treatment of Megan Bayne.

“O, M, G, Holy schnikes, Megan Bayne, VA, VA, voom, that woman is impressive… The camera absolutely loves her. That woman has the it factor… Megan Bayne just screams superstar,” he said.

Then came the rant. “Megan Bayne should have killed Toni Storm after the match at Dynasty, and then she should have brought that Luther guy in the ring and destroyed him too,” Bully snapped. “Why is it that any person of size within AEW gets buried? We saw it happen with Kamille.” And just to make sure Tony Khan was listening, he added one final plea: “Tony, protect Megan Bayne. Her gear. Please.”

Bully Ray clearly sees superstar potential in Bayne—but says AEW is dangerously close to ruining it.
