WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray isn’t holding back his thoughts on Penta’s dramatic appearance at WWE Night of Champions — and let’s just say, he wasn’t impressed with the execution.

The moment went down after Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed launched a brutal attack on CM Punk and John Cena. Penta hit the scene to help Punk, but according to Bully Ray, the timing and showmanship completely killed the intensity of the moment.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray broke down exactly where he felt Penta’s save went off the rails.

“Here’s CM Punk, and he needs help, and Penta, was standing in the back, and you saw the screen and you were like: my God! CM Punk, adiós mijo, CM Punk needs help! Somebody hit my music so I can go help CM Punk! But I’m gonna high five, and I’m gonna look at the people, and I’m gonna do all this other s**t before I get there… You take me out of the moment! What’s right is right, and what’s wrong is wrong. Penta? Out of the moment.”

Bully’s issue wasn’t with who ran out, but how they did it. For him, stopping to soak up the crowd reaction while your supposed ally is getting jumped in the ring makes the whole thing feel fake.

Penta has been building momentum within WWE for months, but this criticism adds to the debate over how WWE times and stages these dramatic moments.

What do you think—was Penta’s entrance a cool moment, or did the theatrics ruin the drama? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
