Bryan Danielson may not have an active AEW talent contract, but that hasn’t stopped him from staying close to the company.
According to Fightful Select, Danielson was backstage at this week’s AEW tapings, despite his deal technically expiring.
The former AEW World Champion has remained involved behind the scenes, and recent reports suggest that while his in-ring future is uncertain, he’s still working with AEW in some capacity. Whether that means a new contract is in the works or if he’s transitioning into a different role remains to be seen.
“Bryan Danielson was backstage at the show. Fightful reported recently that Danielson is still working with AEW even though his talent contract expired.”
As noted earlier, former TNA President Scott D’Amore and longtime TNA Knockout Gisele Shaw were spotted backstage, adding even more intrigue to the night.
Danielson’s presence behind the scenes raises plenty of questions. Is he plotting a return to the ring, or is he looking to make an impact outside of it?
