WWE executive Bruce Prichard is finally shutting down one of the longest-standing rumors in wrestling circles—that he secretly can’t stand Triple H.

Speaking on a recent episode of his Something to Wrestle With podcast, Prichard addressed the speculation head-on and made it clear there’s no animosity between him and WWE’s current Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

“I have nothing to hate him for,” Prichard said. “And in all the times we worked together prior to coming back—and look, I can’t speak for him, I don’t know—but I do know how he treated me. He always treated me well.”

Prichard, often labeled as a Vince McMahon loyalist due to his decades-long association with the former WWE Chairman, has remained one of the most influential backstage figures even after McMahon’s exit from creative. Many assumed Triple H would phase out McMahon-era holdovers when he took the reins, but Prichard is still standing—and thriving. Prichard even addressed the notion that Triple H’s success hinged solely on his marriage to Stephanie McMahon, rejecting the idea outright:

“He was a top talent, and obviously married in, but if he had married Betty down the street, he’d still be in the same position he is in today because he still has those qualifications. He still has that love and that desire for the business. That’s what I appreciate as well. We do share the same love and appreciation for the business. We always did.”

He called the narrative about their supposed beef “100% just rumor, gossip,” adding:

“Any perceived hard feelings—I don’t know where they would have ever come from, because there weren’t any. Working with him as a talent, for me, I loved it. He was fun to work with.”

Prichard made it clear the public doesn’t understand what goes on behind the scenes—and that many of these rumored tensions are simply fabrications.

“People want to create animosity, want to create all these things that simply aren’t there, because they’ve never been in that kind of role. They’ve never done it, so they don’t understand what comes with it.”

“Yes, we are human beings. And yes, there are times when things don’t go your way—that you get angry, you get pissed, and you’re upset about things.”

Despite assumptions that Prichard and Triple H were on different ends of WWE’s internal politics, it seems the respect between them runs deep—and mutual. With Prichard still playing a critical backstage role during one of WWE’s most financially successful eras ever, there’s clearly more trust there than some fans want to admit.
