Brooke Hogan is speaking out about her strained and emotionally complex relationship with her mother, Linda Hogan.
In a revealing interview on The Bubba the Love Sponge Show, Brooke shared personal childhood memories, intense emotional wounds, and lingering trauma—while still offering respect for the woman who shaped much of who she is today.
Brooke said she’s long been at odds with Linda, who she believes harbors intense anger toward her, despite Brooke never fully understanding why.
“That’s the one thing too with Linda… she’s got this deep hatred for me. And it’s like — listen — I wasn’t just on Dad’s side. I knew how many times Dad cheated on her. I knew the damage he did.”
Brooke listed several women her father, Hulk Hogan, was allegedly involved with—acknowledging the emotional toll it must’ve taken on Linda. Still, she questioned why her mother stayed.
“Anybody that went through that much cheating — Kate Kennedy, Cory Everson, Christian, Heather, whoever — I know it would drive someone insane. Why she stayed? I don’t know. I wouldn’t have stayed. I would’ve said, ‘You cheat on me once, I’m out.’ But she had a lot more at stake.”
Things escalated after a media firestorm years ago. Brooke claimed a misquoted headline permanently damaged their bond.
“Perez Hilton did an interview with me and titled it ‘My Mom Does Drugs,’ which I did not say. If you watch the interview, I never said that. But ever since then, she’s waged war on me.”
She explained why she’s kept her distance, noting every visit with Linda ends in chaos.
“The only reason I haven’t hung out with her is because every single time, she ends up tearing me a new one. And I don’t even know what I did wrong.”
Despite everything, Brooke didn’t tear her mom down completely. She shared that Linda played a key role in keeping Hulk Hogan’s life organized during their peak years, and credited her with passing down valuable traits.
“But let me say this — my mom has great qualities. She really does. She’s the reason my dad was so on-track in life and business during their prime. She had the best common sense.”
“I tell my husband all the time: everything I have — my woman’s intuition, the way I move in the world — that’s all my mom. I just think she never got the healing she needed.”
Brooke Hogan’s reflections serve as a heartbreaking reminder that fame doesn’t erase family trauma. Despite everything, she still finds a way to honor the good in her mother while wrestling with a past that’s far from resolved.
