Bron Breakker might not be out of WrestleMania 42 after all — because now there’s real optimism inside WWE about his return.

That’s the latest update coming out of March 19, 2026, as WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that WWE is actively hopeful Breakker could be back in time — and they’re already preparing for it as a source at WWE television this week expressed a sense of optimism about Breakker’s timeline.

After weeks of uncertainty following his emergency hernia surgery, the conversation has now moved from doubt to possibility. And it doesn’t stop there. WWE reportedly isn’t just hoping he returns — they’re planning for it. The report noted that WWE has a plan ready for Breakker should he be cleared in time for the event. Instead of writing him out of WrestleMania 42 entirely, WWE is keeping the door open — and keeping creative ideas in place just in case he’s ready to go.

This comes after earlier reports suggested his match with Seth Rollins — which was expected to be one of the biggest matches of the entire WrestleMania weekend — was in serious jeopardy following the surgery. Now, that situation feels a lot less certain.

Breakker has been off television while recovering, and there’s still no official confirmation on when he’ll be cleared. But internally, WWE clearly isn’t giving up on him making it back in time. If Breakker does get cleared, this could turn into one of the biggest last-minute swings heading into WrestleMania 42 — with WWE ready to plug him right back into a major spot.

Do you think Bron Breakker will make it back in time for WrestleMania, or should WWE play it safe and hold him off longer? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback below.
