Fans have been speculating for months about Britt Baker’s AEW status, but now we’ve got a clearer picture—and it’s not what most people were hoping for.
Despite rumors of a WWE jump and her noticeable absence from AEW programming since November 2024, Baker is still officially signed to AEW. But don’t expect her to pop up on Dynamite anytime soon. According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, there are currently no creative plans in motion to bring her back.
During his Fightful Report on November 23, 2025, Sapp shut down rumors about her return and provided the most direct update yet:
“Regarding Britt Baker being brought back — ‘when the time is right.’ I have not heard any cases of her being mentioned or planned of late.”
That quote puts to rest the idea that she’s actively being worked into any ongoing storylines, even as AEW’s women’s division continues to shift and new talent gets attention.
This comes after speculation triggered by Baker removing AEW from her social media bios and skipping AEW’s Pittsburgh event—a city that’s been closely tied to her brand. But despite the social media changes and silence, AEW President Tony Khan made it clear last week that she’s still part of the team.
“Britt Baker, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., and what a great star in AEW Dr. Britt Baker has been and she is still a fantastic, fantastic wrestling star and she’s been away from AEW for a while but still very much with us and at some point, hopefully soon, I’d love to see Dr. Britt Baker come back.”
Baker’s last AEW match was in November 2024 when she defeated Penelope Ford on Dynamite. Since then, she’s reportedly been cleared to wrestle but has not been booked. For now, Baker’s return remains in limbo—not because of injury or contract issues, but simply because creative hasn’t made a move yet.
Are you surprised that AEW still doesn’t have plans for Britt Baker? Should they bring her back now or wait until the right moment? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know what you’d like to see next for the Doctor.
