Britt Baker hasn’t stepped foot on AEW television since November 2024, but her latest social media post has fans talking—and wondering if she’s sending a subtle message about her situation with the company.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion took to Instagram and shared a quote about self-worth that has many speculating it’s directed at AEW. The message compared the price of bottled water in different locations to how a person’s value can change based on where they are. Notably, Baker highlighted one specific part of the message, making her post even more attention-grabbing.
The quote read: A bottle of water can be $1 at a supermarket, $3 at the gym, $5 at the movies, $6 on a plane… Baker specifically highlighted the next line: “Same water. The only thing that changed its value was the place.”
The message continued: “So next time you feel your worth is nothing, maybe you’re at the wrong place.” While Baker didn’t mention AEW by name, the timing and the emphasis on that highlighted line has many fans convinced she’s talking about feeling undervalued by the company.
This post comes shortly after Baker appeared in Sammy Guevara’s vlog at Animeverse, where the two joked about how long it had been since they last saw each other.
“Good to see you, we’ll hopefully see you soon,” Baker told Guevara. He replied, “Yeah, hopefully. Yeah, maybe in six years.”
Baker laughed off the comment but didn’t offer any clues about her return to AEW. With cryptic, carefully highlighted posts like this, speculation about Baker’s status with AEW is only growing. Whether this is a shot at the company or just general life advice remains to be seen.
