Britt Baker has no intention of keeping quiet — at least not on social media.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion is back with yet another cryptic Instagram post, and this one might be the most direct message yet about how she’s feeling.
On July 2, Baker shared a new quote that instantly had fans raising eyebrows. The message read: “The day you become okay with not being liked by everybody else is the moment you’ll finally start liking yourself.”
Of course, Baker didn’t tag AEW or mention the ongoing rumors about her future, but the timing speaks volumes. It comes just after she posted a different quote about self-worth, where she emphasized the line, “Same water. The only thing that changed its value was the place.” That post fueled speculation that Baker feels undervalued in AEW and might be looking to jump ship.
Since then, sources have confirmed that Baker is actively seeking a way out of AEW. However, that’s easier said than done. Baker signed a five-year deal with AEW back in 2021, locking her in until at least 2026 — and unless AEW grants her a release, she’s stuck.
AEW has made it clear they have no plans to let Baker go anytime soon. The belief inside the company is that they want any potential WWE-related headlines, especially in Baker’s hometown of Pittsburgh, to cool off before considering anything.
Baker hasn’t been seen on AEW television since November 2024. While she’s popped up in more lighthearted settings like Sammy Guevara’s vlog at Animeverse, her social media activity paints a very different picture.
