Brie Bella Hints at Bringing Back “Yes!” Chants for WWE Return

Brie Bella still hasn’t made her return to WWE yet and while there’s no indication that might happen anytime soon, it appears Bella made it clear she wants to bring back the “Yes!” chants when she does.

During SummerSlam weekend, the Bella Twins hosted a live recording of The Nikki & Brie Show in front of an audience in New Jersey. While they were talking, fans in the crowd started chanting “Yes!” in support of Brie.

Nikki responded by saying the “Yes” chants are welcome in WWE, and Brie Bella agreed, saying she should definitely bring them back, as she said, “And I should.”

Obviously, the chants were made famous by Brie Bella’s husband Bryan Danielson, who’s in AEW right now. In fact, Bryan Danielson previously revealed that WWE reached out to him during AEW’s All In weekend about the use of the “Yes!” chants.

The American Dragon said he got a text message that wasn’t exactly a legal threat, but it hinted at concerns if he continued using the gesture. Danielson explained that he doesn’t usually criticize others and respects that people have different values, even if they don’t match his own.

Danielson admitted he knew fans would keep chanting “Yes!” once he joined AEW, but he avoids saying the word himself. Instead, he just raises his fingers in the air, and the crowd reacts on their own. He questioned whether he’s even allowed to do that, but noted it’s not a fun topic to dig into and didn’t want to cause trouble for himself or anyone else.

“I think it’s odd, I just got a text message yesterday… I wouldn’t say threatening legal action. But, like, ‘Hey, you know if you…’ I’m not somebody who tends to criticize people. Everybody has their different values, and they have their own values. They’re just different from mine and that’s fine.

Yeah, yeah (I knew there was no way to stop the ‘Yes!’ chant when I got to AEW) … And it’s also something like, am I not allowed to raise my fingers in the air? When I do it, nobody notices but I never say ‘yes!’ when I do it. I always just do this (raise my fingers in the air) and the people — so am I not allowed to do that? I don’t know. This is getting really into the weeds of stuff that is not super interesting or fun to talk about for me, and I also don’t wanna get myself or anybody else in trouble.”

We will have to wait and see when Brie Bella will make her WWE return and if she does end up bringing back the “Yes!” chants, since fans would most definitely love to see that as well.
