Brian Pillman Jr. has become a key player in AEW’s tag team division. Together with Griff Garrison, Brian forms the dynamic duo of Varsity Blonds. The team is currently involved in a feud with The House of Black.
Pillman Jr. was set to make an appearance at the Warrior Wrestling 18 show in South Bend. Unfortunately, a concussion put him out of the match. The 28-year-old suffered the concussion during the Jan. 19th episode of AEW Dynamite.
Pillman Jr. was supposed to wrestler former ROH star Silas Young, who’ll now face a new opponent in Davey Bang. Bang has already took part in several tag matches for the promotion.
Warrior Wrestling earlier tweeted in the day that Pillman Jr. was not medically cleared to wrestle at the event, adding that they had brought in Bang to compete against Young.
Pillman Jr. has had a consistent showing for Warrior Wrestling for as long as he’s been part of the promotion. He’s a former Warrior Wrestling Champion, a title which he won from fellow AEW star Brian Cage at Warrior Wrestling 8.
Unfortunately, Brian Pillman Jr. is not medically cleared to compete tomorrow night in South Bend, so Chicago's hottest new rising star, the sensation of the Logan Square Auditorium....
