Braun Strowman isn’t sugarcoating it—2026 has been brutal. The former WWE Superstar just dropped a raw, no-filter update straight from his hospital bed after undergoing emergency surgery to battle a dangerous knee infection.

In a video posted on January 29, Strowman revealed he’s four days deep into hospitalization and just had surgery to remove an infected Bursa in his knee. The infection wasn’t just serious—it was escalating fast.

“All right, guys, girls, back again. Day 4. So just had surgery. I had an infection in my Bursa around my patella, in my knee, and it got out of control. So they went in this morning and they removed the Bursa from my knee, drained a bunch of fluid out of it, and then left the wound open to continue to drain.”

Even with fresh stitches and a visibly swollen knee, Strowman didn’t hold back describing the pain. He’s expected to spend at least one more night in the hospital before being cleared to go home, but he’s still in the thick of it.

“It doesn't feel like my kneecap is going to explode off anymore.”

“Still got a ways to go get over this hump all the way with the infection and stuff. But the pain is finally starting to subside some.”

Amid all the chaos, Strowman made it clear he’s leaning hard on faith and gratitude.

“Thank you for the continued prayers and well wishes… I’ve been praying a lot to God and asking Him to keep me calm and keep my guidance… I had an awesome team for my surgeries and recovery and things like that.”

“We’re kicking. And again, I thank you and love you all so much for the support and thank you. That’s all I can say and I’ll keep you updated.”

The caption alongside the video hit just as hard:

“Update on my leg. Again I can’t express how much the prayers and love from so many around the world mean to me. Y’all have helped get me through this. Still a ways to go but there everyday. Pain is finally starting to come down. Still got a lot of battle to go but I think we are over the hump and should get easier every hour.”

“Matthew 18:19-20… The power of prayer is so strong. I am so blessed to have so many of you care about me. The Lord heard every one of you.”

This tough chapter comes after Strowman revealed on January 27 that the knee pain blindsided him and escalated so fast he had to be admitted overnight. That scare came just days after being rear-ended in a car accident while test-driving his rebuilt Civic.

From car crashes to infections and emergency surgeries, Strowman’s 2026 is already a warzone. But if there’s one thing he’s proving, it’s that he’s not tapping out. Strowman’s fans have always known he’s a fighter, but now he’s showing just how strong he really is—even when the cameras aren’t rolling.
