Braun Strowman isn’t holding back when it comes to his feelings about WWE letting him go earlier this year.

The former Universal Champion took to social media to slam the company for what he calls a bad move, after a fan questioned why WWE keeps using his image if they no longer employ him.

The fan pointed out that Strowman was featured heavily in WWE’s SummerSlam promotional content, including the Netflix series WWE Unreal and the event’s preshow footage. They tagged Triple H directly, asking why he was released if his likeness is still part of the company’s marketing.

“WWESummerSlam sure highlights a guy they cut from the roster in @Adamscherr99 a lot in promo highlights whether it be on @netflix Unreal or on the preshow for Summer Slam. Makes you wonder why the hell he was cut if they are using his image and likeness so much? @TripleH 🤔”

Strowman fired back with a blunt response that left no doubt about his stance on the matter.

“Casue someone made a stupid business decision!!!!”

Reports have indicated that WWE’s decision to release Strowman in May came down to financials — the company believed his contract was worth more than the value they were getting based on how often he was being used.

It’s clear Strowman feels the cut was undeserved, but the big question is whether this public frustration could hurt any potential return down the line.
