Brandi Rhodes Adds Fuel to the Fire After Cody Rhodes’ Promo Battle with John Cena on WWE RAW

Following the conclusion of Cody Rhodes and John Cena’s epic promo battle on the March 31 episode of RAW, Brandi Rhodes took to Twitter and commented on Cody Rhodes’ skills in the segment, as she made it clear that her husband was not afraid to stand toe to toe with John Cena, saying, “Cody when asked to go toe to toe with Cena on the mic…” She also included a GIF which read, “I ain’t scared of you mother******”

John Cena kicked off WWE RAW this week, but before he could speak, Cody Rhodes’ music hit, and the two launched into a promo battle. Cody mocked himself, mentioning his lisp and the “Stardust” character, and joked about his neck tattoo. He accused Cena of lying to the fans, claiming Cena really did care about them. Cody then challenged Cena to explain why he turned on the fans, prompting chants of “you sold out.”

Cena responded, saying he wouldn’t lower himself to Cody’s level. He promised to “bury” Cody, not to protect him, and stated that he buries mediocrity, not talent. Cena then called out WWE for giving the top title to “his chauffeur,” mocking Cody for being a “nepo-baby” and for his neck tattoo. Cena claimed that Cody’s title was just a toy and that the “last real champion” would win at WrestleMania 41.

Cody fired back, saying the fans picked him, but a certain person in an office picked Cena. He also mocked Cena for leaving WWE for Hollywood and accused him of selling out to The Rock, leading to more “you sold out” chants.

Cody Rhodes called Cena a “piece of sh*t,” and Cena hit back, saying he’s made empires for billionaires while stealing money from their kids, referencing Tony Khan. As Cena left, Cody Rhodes reminded him that fans have never chanted “you can’t wrestle” at him, and then Rhodes laid out Cena to close the segment.
