Booker T isn’t shy about his love for SmackDown—and after a surprise return to the commentary desk on the September 12 episode, the WWE Hall of Famer just made it clear he’s ready for another round if WWE needs him again.

During a new episode of the Hall of Fame podcast titled “No Mercy Fallout, SmackDown Shifts, and Crown Jewel on the Horizon,” Booker sent a not-so-subtle message to WWE after discussing Corey Graves’ absence.

“So, there’s a spot at the desk on Friday night. So, um, I just want to make sure—if anybody need to know if I’m available—I’m available.”

“Sometimes you win by attrition. Sometimes you just gotta be ready when the phone rings. You know what I mean? You gotta be Johnny on the spot, you know?”

And he wasn’t done there. Booker leaned into the nostalgia and made it known just how much he enjoyed sitting at the desk again.

“I ain’t gonna lie. It felt good. It felt good at the desk, you know, on SmackDown—the old SmackDown kingdom, the SmackDown world, you know, a place—a utopia that I had a hand in creating.”

Brad joked about Booker’s “temporary” NXT role turning into a long-term gig. Booker laughed but kept it real.

“Look here, man. If the check’s right—that’s right—if the check is right. You know what? Real true wrestlers, we don’t leave no money on the table.”

He then compared himself to Superman, ready to suit up whenever WWE calls.

“If it’s a job to be done—like Superman, you go in the phone booth, you put the cape on, and you go out there and get the job done. So for me, man, like I said—I’m like a doctor with the stethoscope on, I’m the painter with the brush—so I’m just ready to get this thing done if need be. If the call comes, I will—I’ll be prepared.”

Whether it was a one-night stand or the start of something more, Booker T made it clear he’s ready to return to Friday nights if WWE needs someone in that seat.
