Booker T has his fair share of critics who feel his commentary is just not appropriate for NXT, especially because of the way he reacts to certain female talent on NXT. In fact, he has now revealed how his wife Queen Sharmelle reacts to the same.

While speaking to MuscleManMalcom, Booker T was asked about his NXT commentary, particularly his remarks when Lola Vice or Stephanie Vaquer compete, and how Queen Sharmell reacts to his over-the-top remarks.

Booker T explained that Sharmell has been in the entertainment industry since she was a child, participating in beauty pageants, so she understands the business. He stated that she knows that when he’s on commentary, he’s simply doing his job.

Booker noted that his focus is on giving focus on talent like Stephanie Vaquer, Jaida Parker, and Trick Williams. He also made it clear that his comments aren’t causing any trouble at home, joking that he’s not sleeping on the couch.

“Sharmell has been in the entertainment business since she was a little girl—beauty pageants and all—so she understands the business. When she sees me out there, she knows I’m working more than anything. It’s not about me when I’m out there. If I can shine a light on Stephanie Vaquer, Jada Parker, Trick Williams—you know—I’m going to do my job. And no, I’m not sleeping on the couch at all.”

Booker T is one of the most fun and outspoken commentators in WWE. Some fans like his style, while others don’t, but he always supports new NXT stars and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

As noted already, some fans enjoy Booker T’s energetic and bold style, while others feel his comments don’t always fit the NXT brand. Despite the mixed opinions, he stands by his approach, and his wife fully supports him and that’s all that matters to him in the end.
