WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has now addressed possibly returning to TNA as part of their partnership with WWE.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was asked if there was any chance fans could see the return of his Black Snow persona on an episode of TNA iMPACT.
Booker T immediately shut down the idea, stating that it wouldn’t be fun for him and that Black Snow was a moment that could only happen once. For Booker, it was something unique that couldn’t be recreated or revisited.
“No. No, it wouldn’t be fun. Uh, you know, going out with the thing as Black Snow—something like that could only happen once. You can’t recreate something like that. No, you can’t. You can’t recreate something like that.”
When asked what he would say if TNA called and asked him to bring Black Snow back, Booker said he would politely turn it down. That moment was one of a kind for him, and he doesn’t believe it could be repeated the same way.
“I’d say, ‘Man, I appreciate it, man, but I can’t… I can’t manifest that again. It could only happen that one night. I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t—I couldn’t do it again. I really couldn’t.'”
However, when asked if he would still appear on TNA in a different role, Booker T gave a very different answer. He said he would definitely love to be part of the show again, especially if it meant calling a match for Trick Williams.
The WWE Hall of Famer made it clear that he wouldn’t do it as Black Snow, but said some of that old character’s style might show up naturally. So while Booker T won’t return as Black Snow, he’s open to coming back to TNA in another way.
“Oh, heck yeah. Without a shadow of a doubt.
[So we could see Booker back in TNA?] It’s a possibility. Yeah. I would love to sit down and just call a match—call one of Trick’s matches, you know what I mean? Something like that. But not as Black Snow, you know what I mean? Some Black Snow-isms might come out, you know? But not as Black Snow.”
While Booker T previously made it clear he has no interest in a WWE retirement tour, his returning to TNA Wrestling for a one-off appearance alongside Trick Williams could be something that fans would love. Therefore, we’ll have to see if that does end up happening this year.
Do you think Booker T should return to TNA? Would you like to see him call a match for Trick Williams? Sound off in the comments.
