The September 12, 2025, episode of SmackDown featured Booker T and Vic Joseph as part of the commentary team. Fans have now started wondering if Booker T will appear again on SmackDown and now the WWE Hall of Famer has addressed his future.

While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about his surprise appearance as a commentator on SmackDown alongside Vic Joseph. He said returning to the Norfolk Scope brought back a flood of WCW memories and that the night felt amazing from start to finish.

The two-hour broadcast flew by for him, and while he has often said he doesn’t plan to return to full-time main roster commentary, and thinks many fans might not like it, he admitted he had a great time and hopes to do it again in the future.

“It was wonderful, it felt good. It was crazy when I pulled up at Norfolk. I pulled in and memories just flooded back of all the times I had been in that Norfolk Scope back in WCW. It was amazing being part of SmackDown. One night only, one night only. It was amazing to be part of the broadcast for one night with me and Vic Joseph. Two hours went by so fast. I don’t know, I always said I never really want to do the main roster commentary anymore and a lot of people probably don’t want to see me on main roster commentary. But I had a lot of fun Friday night and hopefully I get to do it again sometime.”

Quite a few people were happy to see Booker T and Vic Joseph team up on Friday Night SmackDown last week but it’s clear it was just a one-off. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Booker T does come back on SmackDown in the future, but fans can still get to hear him on NXT every week.
