The Boogeyman might not be back in a WWE ring just yet—but he’s stepping into a new nightmare on the silver screen, in a horror movie.
The former WWE Superstar revealed on Twitter that he’s been cast in a major role for the upcoming horror film “Halloween Candy 2.” Alongside a haunting poster of his character, he confirmed he’ll be playing “The Creature,” writing: “Soon to come… I come from a place where light doesn’t exist.”
The horror sequel is being produced by Doug Plomitallo’s Scared Stiff Films and is set to release in 2026. According to Plomitallo, the movie will continue the universe introduced in the original Halloween Candy and will feature the return of a fan-favorite creepy clown named Tiny. Tiny first debuted in 2009’s Tiny’s Halloween and has become a cult character through four short film sequels.
“We truly believe that Tiny has the potential to become one of the next crop of horror icons,” Plomitallo said.
The Boogeyman’s casting marks a major return to the limelight. He hasn’t wrestled in a high-profile match since Dreamwave Trick Or Treat 2025, but back in July 2025, he went viral for tweeting a workout video and calling on Triple H to give him “one last run” in WWE: “Put me in the game Triple H.. #WWELEGEND BOOGEYMAN.”
At 61 years old, the Boogeyman is proving age is nothing but a number—and now, he’s got his eyes on haunting the silver screen instead of just the squared circle.
