AEW Dynamite and Collision kicked off their joint three-hour special on November 19 with a fast-paced matchup—and an even faster ending.

Bobby Lashley, backed by MVP and representing The Hurt Syndicate, took on Ricochet in the opening contest of the night to determine the #1 entry in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW Full Gear. Ricochet didn’t waste time trying to fire up the crowd before the bell. Grabbing the mic, he shouted “Fly Eagles Fly” in support of his NFL team, threw shade at the city by saying he didn’t want to stay long, and even gave a quick shoutout to his wife, Samantha Irvin.

But none of that helped once the bell rang. The match started with a brief lock-up and some back-and-forth offense, but Ricochet couldn’t keep up with Lashley’s raw power. The finish came almost immediately. Lashley bounced off the ropes and crushed Ricochet with a massive spear that folded him in half. The pin was elementary—one, two, three.

Just like that, Bobby Lashley secured the #1 spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear.

Lashley’s victory wasn’t just decisive—it was a statement. Entering the Gauntlet first gives him an early edge, and judging by how quickly he dismantled Ricochet, it’s clear he plans to dominate the entire field. If this performance is any indication, Full Gear could be the beginning of a major run for Lashley in AEW.
