Bobby Fish may no longer be under an AEW contract, but that doesn’t mean he’s closing the door on a return.

In a new interview on the Two Man Power Trip podcast, the former AEW star was asked if he’s had any recent talks with Tony Khan’s company. While he confirmed there’s been no contact, Fish made it clear that he’s not shutting down the idea of going back.

“I have not spoken to them. I don’t rule out anything with AEW or anyone else. This is still the best way for me to earn a living — making the most money in the least amount of time — and I’m grateful, by the grace of God, that my body is still allowing me to do this.”

Fish added that as long as his schedule and body allow it, he’s open to whatever the future holds — especially given that his former Undisputed Era teammates Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly are currently part of the AEW roster.

“So as long as that’s the case, I’m open. If my dance card allows me to do it, I don’t rule anything out. It’s pro wrestling — you never say never. Especially with Roddy and Kyle there now.”

Fish departed AEW when his contract expired on August 31, 2022, after just under a year with the company. At the time, he revealed that he and AEW couldn’t come to terms financially, saying that while the deal gave him stability during a rough period in his personal life, he had reservations from the start.

“We just couldn’t agree on numbers… I wasn’t in a great headspace. And had a new house, we were planning a wedding. And you know, the idea of another contract was safe… So probably jumped the gun… But I made sure that it was only a year. I did not want to do any more than a year for the numbers that we were talking.”

Bobby Fish isn’t making any AEW return plans just yet — but he’s not ruling them out either. With Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly already in the mix, fans of the Undisputed Era might still have something to believe in.
