Mexican wrestling legend Blue Demon Jr. has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled match following a serious car accident, according to an official announcement from IWRG (International Wrestling Revolution Group).
The promotion took to their verified Facebook page to break the news just days before Blue Demon Jr. was set to compete at Castle of Terror 2025 on October 30. He was originally slated to participate in a Casket Match for the IWRG Heavyweight Championship.
“Blue Demon Jr. suffered a delicate car accident, therefore he will not appear next Thursday, October 30 at the Castle of Terror 2025,” the post read.
While the details surrounding the accident remain limited, IWRG expressed their support and confirmed they’ll soon reveal who will replace Blue Demon Jr. in the match.
“Stay tuned to our social networks since we will inform you who will take their place in the ‘casket match’ for the Heavyweight Championship.”
The promotion ended the statement with a heartfelt message for the lucha icon:
“We send the best of the vibes and speedy recovery to our legend.”
They also asked fans to be understanding of the situation and shower Blue Demon Jr. with support during his recovery.
