NXT took over The Theater in Madison Square Garden for a night full of title matches. Gold Rush included a lot of must-see moments, including the Women’s North American Title match.
WWE NXT’s Gold Rush episode on November 18, 2025, took place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. There were many titles on the line, and Sol Ruca showed up even though she wasn’t 100%.
Sol Ruca never really lost the NXT Women’s North American Championship. This time around, she showed up to The Theater in MSG, but she was barely medically cleared. Naturally, Blake Monroe was around to keep that title around her waist.
Blake Monroe was once Mariah May in AEW, where she dominated for a while. After that run was over, she found her way to WWE, where she is now a champion on the NXT brand. On the other hand, Sol Ruca is a homegrown WWE NXT talent.
Fans were split for this match, as they gave both competitors an ample amount of attention. The commentary team questioned whether this was a wise decision on Sol Ruca’s behalf as well.
Sol Ruca wrestled in a knee brace, and that may have given Blake Monroe the opening to take advantage of the match. This match stretched through a commercial break, with Monroe staying on Ruca like a shark.
After Sol Ruca was able to mount a comeback, Blake Monroe kicked out at two. Then she missed her Sol Snatcher, but she was able to land a superkick to Monroe. Eventually, Blake Monroe got Sol Ruca in a stretching submission hold, but she got out of it. Monroe pulled off Sol Ruca’s knee brace and threw it up the ramp before she latched on another aubmission hold to Sol Ruca’s knee. Zaria tood at ringside, and she grabbed a white towel and threw it in to stop the match.
This was not how anyone in the building wanted this match to end. However, Blake Monroe is still Women’s North American Champion.
