Blake Monroe isn’t just bringing attitude to WWE NXT — she also had a hand in crafting the sound that announces her arrival.
During a recent appearance on The Wrestling Classic, Monroe spoke about the creation of her entrance theme and the role she played in helping shape its style. The NXT star explained that while WWE handled the production side, she still worked with the team to ensure the music reflected her glamorous persona and stood apart from other performers on the roster. Monroe said the theme was a collaborative effort and that WWE’s music team asked for her ideas before finalizing the track.
“First of all, on that note, Miss Parker, I want to say how fickle those fans are because while you were off doing whatever and not on TV — can’t relate because I’m there weekly — they were chanting for me. They were thirsting after me. So just want to put that in. But as for the theme song, it was a little collaborative. I mean, look, I didn’t get in the booth and sing it myself, but they talked to me a little bit about what I wanted.”
Monroe explained that she sent inspiration to the production team to guide the direction of the track. Instead of leaning into the darker, aggressive style common in wrestling entrance music, she wanted something that embraced her character as “The Glamour.” That creative direction ultimately led to the “pop princess” tone fans now associate with Monroe’s entrance.
“I sent them some inspiration. It was like Ariana Grande and Sabrina. I’ve always been really heavy on ‘I am the glamour’ and that’s what makes me different. And I feel like in wrestling everybody wants to be cool and like I’m not Rhea Ripley, you know? That’s not my energy.”
“So I’m like, let me get firmly in my box and own that. So I wanted it to be pop princess. And I came up with the ‘glamorous forever,’ which is very polarizing, but I feel like it’s cool to have that hook because you know I’m coming.”
The track wasn’t finalized immediately. Monroe said the production team sent her multiple versions before they locked in the final sound that now plays during her NXT entrances. In the end, Monroe believes the final result perfectly captures her character — and the reaction from fans suggests the team got it right.
“They sent me the first sample and there was a couple things I changed. Originally it was a little bit faster, so I wanted it slower. I wanted some electric in it. And then I also sent it to one of my buddies who loves music, so he helped me with it.”
“We got it in two or three tries, I think, and they nailed it. I didn’t know how people would feel because I think I’m under a microscope. I came in hot and a lot of people are looking, so everything is hyper-criticized. But the theme song is a hit.”
Monroe continues to position herself as one of the most talked-about personalities on the NXT roster, and even her entrance music has become part of that identity. As she keeps climbing the ladder in WWE, the “glamorous forever” hook may end up being one of the defining elements of her presentation.
