Things got personal fast on Twitter after WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry compared rising star Blake Monroe to the legendary Mae Young—and Bully Ray couldn’t resist jumping in with a callback that had fans doing double takes.
On August 22, 2025, Henry posted: “Even if she isn’t Mariah May anymore @BlakeMonroeWWE reminds me of my old friend – the late, great Mae Young!”
Bully Ray, never one to shy away from controversy, quote-posted with a jab rooted in one of the most infamous Attitude Era moments: “I’d like to do the same thing to Blake that I did to your old friend…🤓”
He was clearly referencing the time he powerbombed Mae Young through a table on live television—one of the most shocking visuals in WWE history.
But Blake Monroe didn’t back down. She clapped back, “go back to coaching #LFG 🤡🤭💅”
Whether this turns into something more on-screen remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure—Blake Monroe isn’t here to be disrespected.
