Blake Monroe isn’t worried about a main roster promotion right now— and she made that crystal clear.
After reports noted earlier this year that Monroe would remain in NXT despite internal discussions about a potential move to RAW or SmackDown, she addressed the situation herself during an appearance on NotSam Wrestling on February 22, 2026. Rather than sounding frustrated, Monroe explained that she’s focused on dominating where she is right now.
“The goal is to excel where you’re at. I think people can get a little fixated on getting called up, but NXT is in a unique position. It’s attached to the Performance Center, so in some ways it’s developmental, but there are huge stars on it and we have a lot of viewers.”
She even shared a recent moment that reinforced her perspective, describing how meaningful NXT’s audience can be.
“Just last week we had a loop in Washington, and I was in the gym when two kids ran up to me and said, ‘I love NXT. It’s my favorite show. Can we get a picture?’ That meant a lot. For some people, NXT is their favorite show.”
Monroe pushed back on the common belief that every NXT star should be desperate for a call-up, saying she sees no reason to rush.
“I don’t know why there’s always this mindset of, ‘I need to be called up.’ I’m not in any rush. I still have so much to do.”
She then pointed to unfinished business in the women’s division, referencing past and current rivals like Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker.
“I’ve barely feuded with a lot of the women. Jordynne Grace took up a lot of my time, and now Jaida Parker is chasing me around, but there are still so many women I want to wrestle. I haven’t even gone after the main women’s title yet. There’s a lot left for me to accomplish, and I don’t look at it like I need to rush anywhere.”
Bottom line — Blake Monroe isn’t begging for RAW or SmackDown. She’s stacking wins, building her name in NXT, and when the call comes, it’ll be on her terms.
