Bischoff on Wrestling Recap – Sexy Star Incident, SummerSlam 2003 Match Against Shane McMahon, Does WWE Need More Managers? More!

Bischoff says that based on what he read, NXT did a good job dealing with Asuka’s recent injury. It came off as a legitimate scenario, where RAW and Smackdown Live were negotiating for her rights. She vacated her Title not only due to an injury, but because she was given an opportunity to move to the main roster and Bischoff thought this was well done.

Hausman says that according to reports, John Cena walked into Vince McMahon’s office recently and said they needed to wrap up his program with Roman Reigns because the film studio doesn’t want Cena wrestling. This doesn’t surprise Bischoff, and he says that this is standard procedure for major studios who are financing multi-million dollar films.

Speaking about Enzo Amore’s move to 205 Live, Bischoff says Amore isn’t going to make a difference to that brand at this point. He feels that WWE dropped the ball with the Cruiserweight division the minute they launched it, because they failed to identify what it truly is.

Bischoff says it was great to see Shelton Benjamin return to WWE television on Tuesday night. He worked with Benjamin for two years, but not closely. He says that Benjamin is so very talented so it’s no surprise that he found his way back to WWE all these years later.
