The boxing world is fired up for tonight’s Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford showdown, and the crossover excitement has even reached WWE. Two of wrestling’s biggest stars, Bianca Belair and Stephanie Vaquer, sat down with Sports Illustrated and made their predictions — but they didn’t exactly agree on who’s walking out victorious.
For Stephanie Vaquer, the choice was personal. She spent over a decade living in Mexico, and with that connection came an unwavering loyalty to Álvarez. Vaquer explained that her support isn’t just about his skill inside the ring, but about representing the country she called home.
“I’ve been fan from Canelo. I live in Mexico 10 years, 11 year. So I try to support the Mexican fighter and I know Canelo it’s amazing. I’m a big fan. So I follow Canelo.”
Bianca Belair, however, looked at the fight from another angle. She pointed to Crawford’s undefeated record, his connection to WWE, and even added a playful twist by tying his last name to her own.
“I’m going with Crawford. I am. I’m going with Crawford. He’s undefeated. I’m always down for undefeated streak and he’s been to a couple of WWE shows. I’ve met him backstage. He supports us. I’m going to support him and I always make a joke that my real last name is Crawford. So I’m like he might be my cousin. So I got to go with family.”
As the boxing world waits to see who emerges from this historic fight, it’s clear that even WWE’s top talent are split when it comes to choosing sides.
