Bianca Belair is still out of action after injuring her finger at WrestleMania 41, and the EST of WWE isn’t sure when she’ll be back in the ring. The former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion broke her finger in three places during her triple threat match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley—and the healing process has been frustratingly slow.

While speaking to CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, Belair explained the issue isn’t just about the break—it’s about the mobility.

“I broke it in three places and the joint. It healed, but it won’t bend. You can’t wrestle with a straight finger because it’ll break again… I can’t even sew right now. I can’t even make gear. We’re on the end of this healing process, so we might have some time, but you never know. Crazy things happen.”

Belair, who hasn’t wrestled since Mania, has still made occasional TV appearances. Most recently, she was the guest referee for Naomi vs. Jade Cargill at WWE Evolution. Despite still being active in WWE’s public eye, she’s not rushing to get back in the ring.

“I needed this break. I’ve been going for the past five years nonstop in the title picture, filming reality TV shows and appearances. I think I had over 300 appearances in one year.”

At this point, Belair is still waiting to find out whether surgery will be required to fully recover. While she hasn’t ruled out showing up at SummerSlam, she’s currently not scheduled to compete.

Bianca Belair’s return is clearly a matter of when—not if—but for now, she’s focusing on healing the right way instead of risking re-injury.
