Bianca Belair is almost back—and just in time for WWE’s post-SummerSlam stretch.

According to WrestleVotes, the former multi-time Women’s Champion is “expected to be cleared for action this upcoming week” and could return as soon as the August 9 episode of SmackDown, which airs just days after SummerSlam. One source noted she “won’t be cleared ahead of this weekend,” shutting down hopes for a surprise appearance at the premium live event.

This news follows months of recovery after Belair broke multiple fingers during her triple threat match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41. Speaking recently on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Belair explained the exact moment things went wrong mid-match during a German suplex off the top rope.

“It was when we were doing the triple German spot… my hand got stuck underneath Rhea. Also I went to the wrong side of Rhea, but my hand, I thought she was gonna go further over me, we kind of just collapsed together. So when my hand went back, it got stuck under her, and she literally crashed on my hand.”

Belair knew right away that something was seriously wrong.

“I knew immediately it was broken… In the moment I thought I broke all my fingers. The ref comes to me. He’s like, ‘Are you okay?’ I’m like, ‘I just broke all of my fingers!’”

Despite the pain, she finished the match, but admitted that she’s only watched it back once because of how emotionally draining it was to relive it. Now, fans may not have to wait long to see The EST back in action.
