The pro wrestling world has a ton of history attached, and its fun to dive into the stories from years gone by. That being said, fans also love lists, and we have a new one.

BET released a list of the top 15 greatest Black wrestlers of all time. This was quite a list, and they also did their homework with their write-up. In the end, Booker T reigned supreme as the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and five-time World Champion walked away in the number one spot.

Jazz ranked 15th on the list. She deserves to be in this conversation as she won the WWE Women’s Championship twice, and she was one of the few Black women in WWE’s early 2000s era. Shelton Benjamin came in at 14. He has held multiple championships while competing in WWE and now he is in AEW.

Naomi earned the 13th spot, and her career is still going strong. Jacqueline ranked in the 12th spot. She made history as the first Black woman to win a WWE championship in 1998, and she entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016.

Big E secured the 11th spot and D’Von Dudley ranked 10th. Both of those make sense, considering their impressive history in tag team wrestling. Bianca Belair was ranked 9th after becoming the first Black woman to main event WrestleMania and winning multiple WWE championships. Bobby Lashley came in at 8, and it’s no secret why the All Mighty is on the list.

Ron Simmons earned the 7th spot for making history in 1992 as the first Black WCW World Heavyweight Champion before leading the Nation of Domination in WWE. Junkyard Dog ranked 6th. JYD was a fan favorite and he helped pave the way for Black wrestlers. Sasha Banks took the 5th spot, and as she continues carrying around four titles, it’s no secret why The CEO captured that spot.

Mark Henry ranked 4th as his influence in pro wrestlign continues. Kofi Kingston secured the 3rd spot, and his career is still going well after KofiMania. Now as a heel in the New Day, he is doing a lot more with his character.

The Final Boss may claim to be number one in WWE, but The Rock ranked 2nd in this list. In the end, the top spot went to Booker T. We will have to see if they say anything about this on WWE television, but this list certainly gave pro wrestling history a nice highlight. You can check out the whole list below.
