Becky Lynch didn’t just lose the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber — she completely lost it afterwards.
Following AJ Lee’s emotional championship victory in Chicago on February 28, 2026 — her first singles title win in over a decade — Lynch took to Twitter and unleashed a furious, all-caps tirade blaming referee Jessika Carr for the loss.
The controversy stems from the match’s chaotic finish. Earlier in the bout, AJ Lee locked in the Black Widow and Becky tapped — but Carr was down and didn’t see it. Later, after a series of near-collisions and the exposed turnbuckle coming into play, AJ finally secured the submission again and forced Lynch to tap out clean.
Lynch clearly didn’t see it that way. She began her social media meltdown by screaming Carr’s name in dramatic fashion: “CAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Moments later, she escalated things, threatening legal action and venting her frustration at the host city.
“I AM CALLING THE BIGGEST AND THE BADDEST LAWYER ON THE PLANET! THE BULL RHINO IS ABOUT TO BE UNLEASHED!!!! THIS IS NOT OVER!!! I HATE CHICAGO!!!!!!!!”
Lynch didn’t stop there. She directly called out Adam Pearce and demanded disciplinary action against Carr, while also referencing a “Triple H photo.”
“I AM DEMANDING THAT ADAM PEARCE DO HIS JOB FOR ONCE IN HIS LIFE!!!!! SUSPEND CORRUPT CARR WITHOUT PAY!!! COMPLETE A FULL INTERNAL INVESTIGATION!!! STRIP ABSOLUTE JOKE OF HER TITLE!!! DELETE THE TRIPLE H PHOTO!!! THIS MUST ALL BE DONE IMMEDIATELY!!!!”
Her main grievance appears to center on the exposed turnbuckle sequence, which she believes was handled unfairly. Finally, echoing a meme-worthy line that’s already circulating among fans, Lynch closed with one last burst of rage.
“CARR STOPPED AJ FROM MAKING CONTACT WITH THE EXPOSED TURNBUCKLE BUT ALLOWED ME TO RUN RIGHT INTO IT! CORRUPTION AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL!!! SHE CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY THIS!!!!!!!!”
AJ Lee, meanwhile, celebrated her first championship in 11 years as the Chicago crowd roared behind her. Becky Lynch may have lost the title — but judging by her reaction, this rivalry might be far from over.
