The Man is still coming around as champion.
WWE Clash in Paris went down at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France, and the Women’s IC Title captured the fans’ attention.
The Women’s IC Title was on the line as Becky Lynch put up her championship against Nikki Bella. The WWE Hall of Famer’s return to the scene has seen minimal attention at this point, but she had a big chance in France to earn her first title since making her return.
This match went on third of the night, right after the Wyatt Sicks dominated in their tag team title match. Fans gave a good reception to Nikki Bella as she made her way out, but Becky Lynch also received a pop.
This match saw Becky Lynch take control early on, and Nikki Bella ate her greatest hits, including a Beckspoder suplex. Then Nikki Bella had a chance to fight back for a bit.
Nikki Bella eventually rallied, and she got her signature submission hold in, and then she went for a Rack Attack, but she had to settle for a Man-Handle Slam and a Dis-Arm-Her for good measure. It looked like Nikki had some momentum brewing for her.
Then Becky Lynch countered and got a quick pin to win the match. This ending looked like it surprised and disappointed Nikki Bella, but she gave it her all.
We will have to see what WWE does next in the Women’s IC Title picture. The title has been growing in popularity thanks to some good matches, and this match only proves that a contest can be over at a moment’s notice.
