Becky Lynch just shared one of her most personal stories yet—and it’s a side of motherhood fans rarely hear about.
While appearing on The Viall Files on January 28, 2026, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion revealed how postpartum depression blindsided her after she stopped breastfeeding her daughter, Roux.
Becky and husband Seth Rollins welcomed Roux back in December 2020, and fans have long admired how the power couple balances parenting and life inside the squared circle. But according to Becky, that balance came with major emotional challenges.
“He trained with me a lot, and getting my body back was way easier than I thought, ’cause she just sucked the life out of me. I breastfed for over two years, so I probably didn’t sleep for the first two years.”
But it wasn’t the exhaustion alone that hit her hardest—it was what came after. Becky credited WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix for helping her realize what was really happening.
“I didn’t realize that postpartum depression can hit you once you’re done breastfeeding. So that was wacky, and then I was a mess for like another six months. It took me a while to realize what was going on.
It wasn’t until one of the girls—Beth Phoenix—explained that that can happen to you after you’re done that I realized, ‘Oh, okay, I need to get some help.’ And then once I did that, everything was fine.”
Lynch has previously talked about her daughter’s name, Roux, and how she tested it by saying it 100 times a day before deciding it felt right. She’s also stated she’ll support Roux in any path she chooses—even wrestling—if it makes her happy.
Now, with this new perspective, Becky’s fans are seeing the full story behind her journey as a mother, performer, and woman finding strength through vulnerability.
