Becky Lynch took a shot at Roman Reigns while defending her spot at the top of WWE.

During her appearance on the Cheap Heat podcast, Lynch pushed back on criticism that she holds younger talent down — and used Reigns as an example of what she sees as a double standard. The discussion started when Lynch was asked about claims that veteran stars sometimes block younger talent from rising. Instead of backing off, she leaned into the criticism and made it clear she isn’t stepping aside for anyone.

While explaining why she refuses to give up her spot, Lynch said competition is part of the business and younger stars need to earn their way to the top.

“I am. I absolutely am. I absolutely hold. I'm holding them down. This is what it's like to be held down by the man. Let's see if you can rise against it. If you can rise against it, good on you. Then you deserve to be on the top. But you won't, because I'm still the greatest of all time.”

But the moment that stood out most came when Lynch turned her attention to Roman Reigns. She argued that fans don’t criticize him the same way, even though he isn’t around as often. While talking about how often she shows up compared to other stars, Lynch made it clear she believes she carries a heavier workload than Reigns.

“But you don't do that with Roman. In fact, Roman comes out. He's never around. He comes out, everybody goes, oh, yay. Not me. I'm around all the time. All the time. All the time. Making the towns, getting in the ring with everybody.”

Lynch made it clear that showing up consistently matters to her, and she believes that’s why she deserves to stay on top. Instead of slowing down, she said she plans to keep competing and proving why she belongs in her position.

Her comments also tap into a long-running fan debate about part-time stars versus full-time performers. With Roman Reigns often working limited dates, Lynch’s remarks add another voice to that discussion. Becky Lynch calling out Roman Reigns while defending her role shows she isn’t backing down from criticism and is fully embracing her position as one of WWE’s top stars.
