Velvet Sky and Angelina Love aren’t just heading into the TNA Hall of Fame—they’re reminding the world why they earned it.
During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, the former Knockouts tag team revealed that during TNA’s prime on Spike TV, their segments weren’t just popular—they were the most watched on the entire show.
While discussing their legacy with Dave LaGreca and Tommy Dreamer, Angelina Love laid out the numbers with zero hesitation, recalling how surreal it was to realize the ratings power they carried.
“Kurt Angle was in TNA. Sting. Christian. Hall. Kevin Nash. Booker T. They’re all there. And we were getting the highest-rated segments.”
She followed up by admitting they never truly realized the reach of their performances until the data started coming in during the late 2000s.
“We would see that we were getting the highest-rated segments and we were just like, ‘This is unbelievable.’”
Velvet Sky chimed in to say they had no idea their act would land like that, especially during an era where women’s wrestling was still clawing for respect. The surprise didn’t stop at the numbers—what stuck with them was the way the locker room reacted.
“The guys weren’t like, ‘These girls are stealing our shine.’ They were like, ‘Hell yeah, girls. Hell yeah!’… We had the support of everyone, and it just made it that much more special to us.”
That atmosphere, they both agreed, made TNA feel like home and fueled their desire to elevate the Knockouts division into one of the most respected in the industry. Angelina also mentioned how international fans were reaching out from countries like Portugal and Egypt, making it clear their impact was felt far beyond the TV tapings at Universal Studios.
Now with their TNA Hall of Fame induction just days away at Bound for Glory 2025, The Beautiful People are taking their rightful place in history—and reminding everyone that they weren’t just there for eye candy. They were ratings gold.
How do you remember The Beautiful People’s run in TNA? Do you think they truly changed how women’s wrestling was viewed on national television? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
