Bayley is shutting down Becky Lynch’s claim that she pays $100 a month to text Mercedes Moné — and she’s doing it directly.

While speaking to TalkSPORT on March 1, 2026, Bayley addressed Becky Lynch’s past comment that she was shelling out money every month just to stay in contact with her longtime friend. The claim originally came during a May 2025 appearance on RAW Recap, when Lynch mocked Bayley’s friendship with Moné while referencing Moné’s paid private messaging platform. At the time, Lynch said:

“This isn’t show-friends, it’s show business. But Bayley is so confused about that, she’s probably paying a hundred dollars a month to her best friend just to text her.”

Now, Bayley is making it clear that’s not reality. When asked about the claim, she responded directly that she texts Mercedes for free. She went on to describe the history she and Moné share, pointing to the milestones they achieved together in WWE. Bayley made it clear that their connection was built through groundbreaking moments and years of working side by side.

“I text her for free…I text for free on a private line that like nobody gets. You know, nobody has that.”

“Super premium. We've had it since, you know, we're the first ever women's tag team champions. We're the first-ever women to main event on WWE [pay-per-view]. First-ever women have an Iron Man match, made history in Brooklyn, and all those fine things. That's what that line is specific for.”

While Moné’s subscription-based messaging service has led to a ton of backlash from fans, Bayley made it clear her friendship doesn’t come with a price tag. Lynch’s comment may have been promo-driven at the time, but Bayley’s response just set the record straight. Sometimes in wrestling, the jokes live longer than the storyline — and this time, Bayley decided to answer it head-on.
