The AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator tournament just got a major shakeup—and the Bang Bang Gang is moving on.
During the July 26 episode of AEW Collision, the hard-hitting faction picked up a critical win to advance in the tournament, setting the stage for a showdown with FTR in the next round.
The tournament kicked off earlier in the week on Dynamite, where FTR took down JetSpeed in a solid opening match. That win guaranteed FTR a spot in the second round, but they had to wait for Collision to find out who they’d be facing next. That answer is now official—it’s the Bang Bang Gang, and they’re rolling with momentum.
On the other side of the bracket, there’s still plenty of chaos left to unfold. The Young Bucks are set to go head-to-head with The Outrunners, while the powerhouse duo Gates of Agony will battle the unique combo of Brody King and Bandido, now operating under the team name Brodido.
The ultimate goal? A ticket to London. The winners of this tournament will earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships, currently held by The Hurt Syndicate—Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. That title match is locked in for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, set for Sunday, August 24 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
