Speculation about Bad Bunny making another jump into the wrestling world picked up this week after outside voices began publicly pushing for All Elite Wrestling to sign the global superstar.

The conversation followed Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite in Las Vegas, which featured an anti-ICE chant during the main event, drawing renewed attention to Bad Bunny’s outspoken political views.

The situation spilled into the wrestling media space on Friday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live, where Bryan Alvarez addressed the idea of Bad Bunny landing in AEW during a discussion with Lance Storm. Alvarez specifically referenced U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego, who had been urging Tony Khan to bring the music star into AEW.

Alvarez laid out the situation bluntly. “He’s tweeting for Tony Khan to bring in Bad Bunny,” Alvarez said on the show. Storm quickly pointed out what he felt was a major omission in that thinking.

“And is apparently unaware that Bad Bunny has wrestled quite a bit.”

That opened the door for Alvarez to make his expectations crystal clear.

“Bad Bunny is going to end up back in WWE very soon. Sooner rather than later, everybody, just so you all know.”

The political backdrop to the discussion stems from Bad Bunny’s public stance against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Just days earlier, he used his platform at the Grammy Awards to deliver a message that quickly spread across social media.

“ICE out,” Bad Bunny said while accepting his award for best música urbana performance. “We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans.”
