Backstage Update on The Hardy Boyz Return to WWE

As seen at Sunday’s WrestleMania 33 event, The Hardy Boyz made their return to WWE after being away for seven years to capture the RAW Tag Team Championship titles in the Ladder Match.

It was rumored for some time that after Matt & Jeff Hardy’s short-term contact with Ring of Honor expired they would be making a return to WWE. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reports that the brothers have signed a full-time deal with the company and will be using their original Hardy Boyz gimmick for the foreseeable future. The belief is that they could eventually use the “BROKEN” gimmick sometime later down the road, but it would have to be after the legal issues between The Hardys and Impact Wrestling are resolved.
