Backstage Talk Hints at Big MLW Surprise Tonight—Here’s What We Know

There’s plenty of chatter backstage at tonight’s MLW Summer of Beasts event in New York City, and it sounds like fans watching the YouTube broadcast might be in for a big surprise.

According to sources at the venue via PWnsider, word has been circulating among talent and staff that the promotion has a major surprise planned for tonight’s broadcast. However, as of now, nobody unusual has been spotted backstage.

That hasn’t stopped speculation from running wild, especially with some major names in attendance as guests. AEW’s Kazuchika Okada, New Japan Pro Wrestling Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi, and the legendary Tiger Hatori are all at the show visiting.

Despite the timing, MLW sources were quick to shut down any theories that they might be part of the surprise. One source flat-out told us, “None of the three are the surprise that has been going around backstage at the show.”

So far, the MLW locker room remains tight-lipped on what exactly the surprise could be, but the atmosphere is electric with anticipation for the Summer of Beasts broadcast.
