Backstage Reaction to Saraya’s AEW Departure Revealed

Saraya surprised the professional wrestling world by announcing her departure from AEW after more than two years with the company. While her future in wrestling remains uncertain, AEW’s backstage reaction to her exit has now been revealed.

While speaking on the post-AEW Dynamite show, Sean Ross Sapp talked about Saraya’s departure from AEW. Sapp noted that quite a few people he spoke to were surprised by her exit.

It was noted that many were caught off guard that she was leaving, despite having several months remaining on her contract. Sapp then followed up with her management, who stated that Saraya is currently a free agent, even though she is still listed on the official roster page.

“There were a lot of people that I talked to who were surprised by that, but I did follow up. They were surprised that she was leaving with a number of months left on her deal. However, I did speak to her management, and they claim that she is a free agent as of now, even though she is still listed on the roster page.”

Saraya confirmed that she had no plans to renew her AEW contract, which was set to expire in September. She stated that she wanted to step away from wrestling for a while to explore other opportunities.

Now that Saraya is no longer with AEW, her next move remains uncertain. As a free agent, a return to WWE is now a possibility, but fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for her.
