Ron Killings made his shocking return during the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, just a week after he was let go. There was a lot of backstage frustration over Ron Killings’ exit and now it appears the frustration has subsided.
While speaking during a Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Ron Killings’ return to WWE and how talent currently feels about the situation, especially after Triple H’s post-show comment that Killings’ return was “all part of the show.”
Sapp explained that the backlash and locker room frustration have subsided quite a bit. However, when Triple H made that comment, especially about someone as well-liked as Killings, it didn’t sit right with many people in the locker room. There were strong emotions about his sudden departure and at the time, many wrestlers were upset.
“It’s subsided significantly. But when Triple H made those comments—like ‘all part of the show’—especially about somebody who was as beloved as Truth… a lot of talent had strong emotions about his departure. That didn’t sit well with a lot of people.”
Sean Ross Sap added that the number of wrestlers reaching out to him, angry about the situation, has dropped in a big way. He also pointed out that Killings took a photo with Triple H to show everyone that everything is okay now. Regardless, many talent weren’t happy with how the situation was handled when it first happened.
“The flood of people coming to me saying, ‘This is BS’—that’s subsided pretty heavily. And you know, Truth—Ron Killings—he took the picture with Triple H to kind of show everybody, ‘Hey, I’m back. It’s all good,’ that type of thing. But yeah, it was definitely a situation that most of the talent weren’t exactly keen on at first.”
Ron Killings dropped his R-Truth character and is more than ready to show the world what he’s made of. Therefore, we will have to wait and see how WWE will book him in the coming weeks, as it’s clear he is destined for greatness now.
