WrestleMania 42 is quickly approaching — but a new backstage report suggests the event’s overall presentation is still very much a work in progress.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on March 12, 2026, the team responsible for creating WrestleMania’s visual identity has been dealing with repeated changes coming from leadership. Sources claim the creative direction for the event hasn’t been clearly defined, which has led to a constant stream of new graphic requests behind the scenes.

The original marketing concept for WrestleMania 42 reportedly focused on giving the show a “high-end, classy vibe,” something that appeared in the earliest promotional teasers for the Las Vegas event. However, since those materials were released, the direction has reportedly shifted several times — forcing staff to continually redo graphics and promotional elements as leadership searches for the right look.

The report notes that the ongoing changes have created some frustration internally, as production teams work through multiple revisions while the show’s overall visual theme continues to evolve. The timing of the situation is also notable because WWE leadership has reportedly been keeping a close eye on ticket sales for the two-night event at Allegiant Stadium.

Earlier this year, WWE management held a multi-department meeting after internal projections showed ticket sales trailing behind the pace set by the previous WrestleMania. At the time of that meeting in February, the company had reportedly moved around 36,000 tickets per night — roughly 10,000 fewer than WrestleMania 41 had sold at the same stage. Because of that, departments across the company were reportedly asked to come up with new promotional ideas that could generate excitement for the Las Vegas show.

That push for a “spark” may be one of the reasons the event’s graphics and marketing direction have continued changing as WWE tries to find the most effective way to promote WrestleMania in a city known for massive entertainment productions.

With WrestleMania 42 now just weeks away, WWE still has time to lock in the final presentation — but the behind-the-scenes adjustments show that the company is still fine-tuning how it wants the biggest event of the year to look.
