Liv Morgan’s shoulder injury didn’t just stop a match—it wrecked WWE’s creative roadmap across multiple storylines, and now the full extent of the chaos is coming to light.
During a backstage Q&A, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Morgan’s sudden exit derailed several major plans, affecting multiple divisions and top names. From championship feuds to faction angles, the damage is bigger than most fans realized.
“A lot. She’s involved with Raquel as a tag champion. She had a feud with Nikki Bella—assuming Brie Bella was going to come in, that changes plans as well. She’s been doing the Roxanne build. She was on a TV program with Kairi where she worked against her. She was clearly setting up to face IYO at some point. And then every member of Judgment Day was effectively involved with her. I’d say JD McDonagh was the one that was least involved with her in any capacity. So it changes a lot of things.”
Morgan was set for a massive summer, with storylines tied to Nikki and Brie Bella, Roxanne Perez, IYO SKY, and even Judgment Day. According to reports, the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw was supposed to push several of those angles forward. But once Morgan dislocated her shoulder, everything unraveled.
Nikki Bella, who was scheduled to interfere during Morgan’s match with Kairi Sane, was pulled from the show on short notice. WWE has yet to announce new plans for the Women’s Tag Team Titles or the heavily rumored Evolution 2 premium live event.
With SummerSlam rapidly approaching and key creative meetings still pending, WWE has been forced into scramble mode to rebuild months of planning—without one of its most popular female stars.
Injuries are part of the game, but this one hit harder than most. Morgan was at the center of nearly every corner of the women’s division—and now everything’s up in the air.
