Ava’s Twitter/X account went dark on February 1, 2026—just hours after she posted a direct message in response to the fatal shooting of ICU nurse Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis. Her post read:
“and now that i can say this with my full chest, 🖕🏽 ice and that entire administration.”
Shortly after the post spread across social media, the account was deactivated. In a follow-up on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the decision to deactivate the account was entirely Ava’s and that no one—including WWE—forced her to do it.
Her statement was her first public action after confirming her WWE departure on January 30. She made her final appearance during the January 27 episode of NXT and was later moved to the alumni section of WWE’s website.
WWE’s longstanding political ties added to the speculation, with former CEO Linda McMahon holding a role in Donald Trump’s administration, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque currently serving as vice chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
Do you think Ava’s exit and social media shutdown mark a permanent move away from wrestling—or just the beginning of something new? Let us know what you think.
