Just days after exiting WWE, Ava made it clear she isn’t shying away from addressing hot-button issues, as she directly called out ICE and the Donald Trump administration.
Ava took to Twitter on February 1, 2026 and broke her silence in response to the fatal shooting of 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis. The former WWE NXT General Manager didn’t hold back, as she declared her stance against ICE and the Donald Trump administration.
“and now that i can say this with my full chest, 🖕🏽 ice and that entire administration.”
The tweet comes as tensions flare nationwide following the deadly incident. According to early reports, video footage allegedly shows one federal officer removing a gun from Pretti before another agent—identified as Border Patrol—fired the fatal shot. While federal officials insist the shooting was an act of self-defense, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has already pushed back on that narrative, leading to widespread protests and demands for transparency.
Ava’s tweet marks her first major public statement since confirming her WWE departure on January 30. The 24-year-old—whose real name is Simone Johnson—quietly left the company after her final appearance on the January 27 episode of NXT. WWE has since moved her profile to the alumni section of its website.
While her departure surprised many in the wrestling world, it’s clear Ava is stepping into her voice outside the ring—and not shying away from major social issues.
